Jackie Streit is an artist and designer creating on unceded Wangal and Gadigal land. Working across painting, mixed media, and small-scale sculpture, she often incorporates collected and found materials that carry traces of past use and meaning. Her practice investigates human behaviour and the dynamic intersections of biological, psychological, and environmental forces.

Through processes of self-exploration, she examines how personal experience can reveal broader social and ecological narratives. Central to her work is finding synergy between creative practice and motherhood — a balance that informs both her process and the forms her works take.

Jackie was a finalist in the Burwood Art Prize 2024. She also received first prize for 'Vexations in Blue' in the Meroogal Art Prize 2024, which awarded her a Bundanon residency in September 2025. During her residency, she plans to immerse herself in the environment and further develop her artistic practice.
